1. How long does it take?
It takes only a few minutes to take impressions of your child. The rest of the work is done by us in our studio. The finished product is delivered back to our host store in 6-8 weeks. We will call you when your order is ready for pick-up. You can track the status of your order by clicking on Order Status. >>top
2. Is this safe for my child?
Absolutely. The process is completely safe and pain-free. The clay that we use is certified nontoxic and conforms to FDA regulations ASTM C-1023/D-4236. The clay is very moist so we don’t have to press hard to get a good impression. The colored underglazes that we use are FDA certified nontoxic. The overglazes that we use are FDA certified as food safe when fired at 1830 degrees (we fire at almost 2000 degrees). All of our glazes conform to ASTM D-4236. >>top
3. Is there an age limit?
There is no age limit. We’ve printed infants as young as 31 hours old and adults as old as 94 years. However, there is a size limit. Usually by the age of five years we can only fit a handprint on the plaque. >>top
4. Do I need to make an appointment?
No. Orders are taken on a first come, first served basis.

5. Can you print my baby while he/she is asleep?
Yes, we can print sleeping infants, but they will usually wake up during the printing. >>top
6. How do you manage to make a good impression?
We have several years experience printing thousands of children. Besides purchasing a lasting keepsake of your child, an important part of what you’re paying for is our ability to get a good impression. We make the process easier by using a soft, moist clay. It’s also easier to print children with full tummies, toys, treats, and plenty of rest. >>top
7. What happens if you are unable to print my child?
We have a three strikes law. If after three attempts we are unable to print your child, we will ask that you bring the child back when he/she is a little older. Typically, children between the ages of 18 months to three years are the most difficult to print. However, it is rare that we are unable to get a good impression. >>top
8. When do I pay for the print?
Your payment is due at the time of printing. Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover accepted. >>top
9. Can I buy a gift certificate?
Yes, gift certificates are available. You may purchase any amount you wish. Be sure that the recipient is in our service area of Los Angeles or Ventura County. Click here to purchase a gift certificate. >>top
10. How do I attach a photo?
When you receive your finished plaque, just tape your favorite photo on the back so that it shows through the cut-out. Your photo is not needed at the time of printing. We do not supply the photo or attach it. Our photo cut-outs accommodate a wallet-size photo. >>top
11. How can I best display my cherished keepsake?
Your plaque will have a ribbon with a loop in the back so that you can hang your keepsake on a wall. We strongly advise our customers that they not hang their plaque in a kitchen or any place where it will be exposed to steam, grease, solvents or any kind of airborne contaminants as it will deteriorate the lettering over time. Hanging the plaque in a room that is carpeted is a good idea as it will cushion the plaque should it fall off the wall. We recommend displaying your keepsake in a shadow box frame, which will protect it from dust, fingerprints and airborne contaminants. >>top
12. How durable are the plaques?
Because the plaques are made of kiln-fired ceramic, they are far more durable than Plaster of Paris plaques or air-dried clay. However, treat your keepsake as you would treat your fine china. Your keepsake will break if it falls on or is struck against a hard surface. Remember that your keepsake is not a toy and should always be handled with care. >>top
13. What happens if my print is damaged?
We take great care to ensure the quality of each plaque; however, on rare occasion a print is subject to defects due to clay discolorations, glaze anomalies, contaminants, cracking, breaking and misfiring. If your plaque is damaged during production, we will issue a certificate to do a re-print. This also applies to human error (example – we glaze your plaque the wrong color). >>top
14. What are my choices?
You have seven decisions to make:
1. Color — your choice of pink, baby blue, denim blue, mocha, green, lavender, yellow and natural.
2. Shape — your choice of hearts, rounds, squares, ovals & rectangles.
3. Decoration — your choice of moons, stars, hearts or flowers. Crystal embellishments can also be added (extra charge).
4. Impressions — how many impressions do you want - hand, foot, one of each or all four? There may be size limitations.
5. Photo Cut-Out — do you want a cut-out for a photo? (extra charge)
6. Lettering — What do you want written on the plaque and what type of lettering? We can write your child’s name, age, birth date, etc. We can also write a special message such as “Happy Father’s Day”, etc. Of course, how much we can write is limited by the size of the plaque and how much space is available. We try to accommodate all requests. We also have two types of lettering to choose from. . . handwritten or 3-D, both available in gold or silver.
7. Finish — You have your choice of matte or glossy.
